Airshow

The air show started with a flyby of the RAF Red Arrows together with the Black Eagles. The Reds in formation with one of the contributes is becoming a tradition over the last years.

A nice contribution this year was Austria performing a mid-air intercept with two EF2000s and one of its own Hercules’s.

Black Eagles Display Team

After 10 years the Republic of Korea Display Team, Black Eagles, were back at the RIAT. The show entails some precise formation flying, with known "borrowed” maneuvers and some original displays like painting a Yin-Yang in the sky. Like the Thunderbirds, the number 5 aircraft has its number upside down for its similar solo maneuver.
