Airshow continues

Airpower demo

With the Airpower demo, the Air Force show a simulated attack on an airfield. This year special forces were dropped out of an C-130 just before a dozen F-16s attacked. The F-35 F-008 was also participating in the attack. A first for a public air show: the C-130 fired flares, just after it dropped some supplies on a low level flyby.

The show was ended with a flyby of 10 F-16s and the F-35, shooting flares. Also a first on a Dutch air show.

Patrouille Suisse was the third demo team, before the Belgium “Dark Falcon” F-16 and Dutch Hunter F.6 concluded the air show.

Again a great edition of the Air Force Days, showing a variety of aircraft. Large amounts of visitors enjoyed the show with great weather, especially on Friday.

Interesting note was that the F-35 F-008 returned to the US straight after the show. F-001 stayed in the Netherlands for a few days longer as it was already broken during the show days and a spare engine part needed to be flown in.
