Air Force Days 2011

Airshow

A variety of aircraft from England, France, Belgium and Italy flew during the airshow. A spectacular show was flown by the Red Bull Bo-105. Amazing what this small helicopter can do. Loops, rolls no problem at all. Another great performance by helicopters was flown by the Royal Navys Black Cats. Some close coordinated flying.

Both Patrouille de France and Red Arrows arrived on Friday during the morning with there shows later on the day. Patrouille de France closed the day, but Red Arrows didn’t perform at all. They eventually didn’t fly on Saturday as well. With the deadly incident only a few days before a near bird strike on the way to Leeuwarden was too much for one of the pilots.
