Royal International Air Tatoo 2005

60 Years United Nations, Surveillance 05 and Nato Tigers Roar 05.

On 16 & 17 July the annual Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), the world's greatest military air show, was held at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, England. This year themes included 60 years United Nations, Surveillance 05 and Nato Tigers Roar 05.

Static

This year's static was even better than the airshow, with some unique visitors like the Greek TA-7, Romanian MiG21's and Polish Su-22. Especially Italia send a large delegation with a variety of aircraft.

DHL was present on the static with two B757 freighters. Other static highlights includes several RAF tornado's with colorful painted celebration tails, a Italian Navy TAV-8, the brand new HC-130J of the USCG and a Lithuanian Mi-8.
