Traditionally most of the Royal International Air Tattoo participant’s head home on Monday after the show. Like every year this event can be witnessed with special tickets from two sides of the runway.
Like previous editions we headed for the end of runway 09. Take-offs this year were done from both side with the majority from 27. With aircraft back-tracking from the 09, the variety was still good.

The biggest surprise of the day was kept untill the very last. We could stay a bit longer as operational U-2S flight was on short final, after a day long mission. Great to see how this aircraft cam to a rest on its left wing, before the ground crew bolded on the taxi wheels.
