The Republic of China, better known as Taiwan is on every military spotters bucket list. The Taiwanese Air Force uses a fighter aircraft no ware to been seen except in Taiwan. The AIDC F-CK-1 was developed and build in Taiwan.
Photo’s in this report were made at two open houses, held at Hualien Air Force Base, 13 August 2016 and Ching Chuang Kang Air Force Base, 26 November. It gives a good overview of Taiwanese air power, with a rather unique collection of aircraft. F-CK-1, F-16 and also the Mirage 2000 are in service with the Air Force. F-5Es are still used as aggressor and reconnaissance aircraft. At Hualien the rarely seen RF-5E was also on display.
