The annual Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) is one of the biggest military air shows in the world held at RAF Fairford. Aviamagazine’s correspondent Leo Hoogerbrugge visited this year’s show on Sunday 8 July and departure, the next day.
With one of the worst summers in years, it wasn’t strange the first day of the event (Saturday) was rainy and very clouded. Fortunately, when we visited on Sunday, the weather gods were on our side and it wasn’t that bad at all. This year’s highlights included the Korean demo team Black Eagles with there T-50s.
Departure day is becoming more popular every day, and off course we were present to watch the participants leave another great RIAT edition.
