Normally also foreign helicopters take part but this year they did not. The programme started around 10:00 and ended around 12:00 and in the afternoon it started at 14:30 and ended around 16:00 hour.

During the happening you can see a lot of hardware, like rescue boats, coastguard boat, police boats, rescue cars, fire trucks and of course some helicopters.

This year, three helicopters were present: AB-412SP (R-03; 303 Sqn Leeuwarden AB), EC-135 T2 (PH-ULP Erasmus Medical Centre/ ANWB from Rotterdam Apt.) and SH-14D Lynx from the Royal Netherlands Navy (268; MARHELI from De Kooy). The British Super Puma from Bristow Helicopters was cancelled.

Also a Do-228 from the Dutch Coastguard did a fly by during a rescue demonstration. This was the PH-MNZ based at Schiphol IAP.

The weather was very good (finally) and you can find some nice spots to photograph the parked helicopters and take some nice shots during demonstrations above the North Sea. Next year the happening will be bigger and will bring more helicopters. See you at the first Saturday in August 2008.
