info As of 1 June 2022 we stopped using Google Analytics. Now now use our own alaytics suite which is privately developed and not shared with third parties. No tracking code is applied unless opt-in on marketing & social media cookies. Ip-adresses are anonymized on the last digits.

Marketing & Social media cookies
Marketing cookies collect information about your browsing habits in order to make advertising more relevant to you and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advert as well as help measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign. They remember the websites you visit, and that information is shared with other parties such as advertisers. We may share this information with other parties, including our partners.
Social media cookies are used when you share information using a social media sharing button on the AviaMagazine website. The social network will record that you have done this. This information may be linked to targeting/advertising activities.

Aviamagazine is currently updating (and potentially removing) all Google Adsence marketing ads from the website. This process might take some time to complete.
Aviamagazine uses Google Adsence to run advertisements on the site. As Aviamagazine is a non provide organization we use advertisements to cover some of our costs. Advertisements are fully run by Google and for that Google uses information they have gathered. This information is not available in any way to be used or altered by Aviamagzine.
GDPR statement
As of May 25th 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is strengthening and standardizing user data privacy across the EU nations, it requires new or additional obligations on all organizations that handle EU citizens’ personal data, regardless of where the organizations themselves are located.
AviaMagazine complies with the law, concerning:
- Transparent communication on privacy related information. Which data do we collect and how do we use it;
- You can easily change the way we communicate or keep privacy related data;
- Right to be forgotten. Removal of account and related data made easy;
- Encrypted privacy related information in database;
- Website available in HTTPS only;
- Procedures to handle and communicate security breaches;
- Changed privacy statement.

Privacy related data
AviaMagazine gathers privacy related information when you have an AviaMagazine Membership or have a subscription to our Newsletter.

We use this information to send mail, address you by your name and personalize our site behavior based on your aviation interest. The country we use to gather information about demography. Its not used for any other purpose.
The country and aviation interest are optional. You can set or remove them in your membership setting.
If you don’t want to receive newsletters or any other mailing from AviaMagazine you can deselect this option in your membership settings. There is one exception in which we will send mail, even when this option is deselected. When privacy data was compromised we need to inform you within 72 hours. For this we will send mail to affected accounts.
Right to be forgotten
You have the right to be forgotten, which means your credentials will be removed from our systems. You can remove your account from the membership area.
Uploaded photo’s
If your photo’s are used or you uploaded photo’s which are featured on the site, full credits are given. This included the mentioning of your name. Removing your account won’t change the credits on photo’s. If you want your name removed from photo’s it’s possible by special request. The photo’s will remain, with general AviaMagazine credits applied.
Sharing of data
We only use data to optimize the site and make our service better. We never share or sell data to third parties!
Security
To strengthen security Aviamagazine will be available in HTTPS only. Other measures include encryption of privacy related information in our database.
When a data breach would occur, we will inform you within 72 hours after detection. We will inform you on which privacy related data was affected and what measures we take.
