Day 2: Zurich Kloten, Switzerland

The second day of our trip and the first airfield in Switzerland: Zurich. This airfield is the busiest and biggest airfield in Switzerland and offers a variety of airlines. Like Frankfurt, Zurich offers a great viewing terras on top of terminal B. Unfortunately only a part of the airfield can be viewed. When runway 28 is in use, the terras isn't the place to be. A better option is the top level of parkinghaus D. When runway 16 is in use the terras is the best spot. Because the weather was very unpredictable we stayed on the terras, a good choice considering the active runways would change many times that day. Be ware when entering the terras only one item is allowed in!

As said before the weather wasn't that great with some severe rain and thunderstorms. Fortunately the terras also offers an excellent cafeteria where you can take shelter and keep on watching the movements.
