RIAT 2017 Departure

Air show participants head home.

Traditionally most of the participant’s head home on Monday after the show. Like every year this event can be witnessed with special tickets on two sides of the runway. With pilots asked to keep it low, the day resulted in some great take off pictures.

For this departure event you can choose between both sides of the runway. Like last year we decided to go for the end (09) to avoid the stampede when doors open at the other side of the runway. Pilots were asked to keep it low during takeoff, which most of them did. Due to the crowded takeoff schedule some aircraft started left to right to minimalize taxiing.
